What is Life Coaching?
Life Coaching enables you to make changes and achieve positive goals in your life. The life coach will talk with you and ask questions to help you get clear on personal goals that you will be happy with and find ways to reach them. The coach will help you think positively and build the confidence that you need to make decisions that are right for you. You will also identify any issues which are holding you back and be given the skills to manage your fear and beliefs to help you get what you want out of your life.
Whilst it is not the coach's responsibility to make the change for you, the coach will be an objective listener and provide the support you need to keep you motivated throughout the coaching relationship.
Life coaching sessions last one hour each and are usually arranged fortnightly, at the same time each fortnight. Sessions can be carried out either through face to face or telephone coaching. In between each session the coach will maintain contact with you via email, to make sure that you keep up the momentum that you need. If you choose to receive face to face or telephone coaching, the email service is free of charge.

A life coach is particularly skilled at helping you establish a clear direction for yourself and will open you up to new possibilities to getting there, using skills and knowledge which you probably didn't know you already had.
At the end of the session, you will agree together a set of tasks for you to complete to help you move forward before the next arranged session.

How many sessions will I need to begin making changes in my life?
The number of sessions you decide to receive will depend very much on your individual situation. Depending on the issues you are dealing with, you will usually leave a session, with a different perspective on your life. Having a different perspective is usually enough to kick start you into doing things differently and making positive change in your life.
If you engage in several sessions you will experience the cumulative effect of several small step changes, which is usually long lasting positive change. The amount of transformation will depend on the amount of time and commitment you are willing to put into the tasks which you agree with your coach at the end of each session.
